Awesome training experience made possible for me through SIA support. They took care of everything so I could focus on skiing improvement. 100% recommend as SIA are well organised with true quality trainers in a fantastic location. Theory, video analysis, access to great terrain was excellent preparation for Landes 1. SIA are professional and passionate about great skiing!

SIA is an excellent choice for anyone interested in ski instructing or simply looking to improve their skiing ability. They offer a wide range of programmes that provide great value for money, catering to skiers of different skill levels and goals.

The instructors are highly qualified, experienced, and genuinely passionate about helping people develop their skills. If you are interested in becoming a ski instructor but are unsure where to start, SIA provides comprehensive training designed to prepare you thoroughly for the qualification exams. They also offer high-quality accommodation throughout the course.

One of the standout features of SIA is that some of their programmes include opportunities for follow-up teaching positions after qualification, helping graduates gain valuable experience and begin their careers as ski instructors.

I would highly recommend SIA to anyone considering a ski instructor course or looking to take their skiing to the next level.

I started my career as a ski instructor after qualifying with SIA Austria back in late 2015 (despite an injury during the course). I was already 30 at the time, but thanks to their incredibly professional, motivated, and skilled training team, I managed to reach the Austrian Landes level (international level 3 equivalent) within just two years.

Fast forward to 2019, and I actually ended up back at SIA—but this time, I joined the training team! I've been working with them ever since. Thanks to these amazing colleagues who share such a massive enthusiasm for the sport, I’m now even working towards my Canadian Level 4.

If you are even remotely considering a course or camp with SIA Austria, stop hesitating. I truly cannot recommend them enough. They’ve been operating in Kaprun on the Kitzsteinhorn since 2012 and deliver a level of excellence that is unmatched.
I’m proud to be a member of this team

Great teachers, great vibes. SIA are great.
Really strong teaching with practical methodology. Kaprun is also a great location for the courses. It’s small, but you only need a few runs of different terrain to cover virtually all needs from L1-4. I wouldn’t go anywhere else to improve my skiing or progress through the system. Plus, it’s Austria, what’s not to like? Servus!

I would give 4.5. I did PSIE Japan package and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. We spent the first 4 amazing weeks in Austria learning how to be an instructor and how to improve our own skiing with really high quality instructors. Each week we got a new instructor to gain some different insight and experience but they were all super friendly, eager for us to succeed and helpful. We were so lucky to also have some amazing snow in November which the instructors were keen to let us enjoy, some mornings we spent just skiing and practicing how to ski different types and conditions which was super fun. The examiners were also really helpful and friendly creating a relaxed atmosphere for you to succeed. After Skiing in Austria and getting my qualification we flew to Japan, transfers were all organised so it was easy and stress free, you just had to book flights. In Japan we spent a week skiing at the job readiness camp in Rusutsu so we could adjust to Japan and life as a ski instructor with some extra training too. Then the real fun began, we were sent to work at Niseko Village Ski School which was an amazing experience and I thoroughly enjoyed every day. If anything was a miss or we had any issue we could speak to our trainers/SIA for any assistance.

The only negative I have was the boot fitting in Austria with Brundl, I was given boots a size too big as the staff were rushed due to lots of people needing items. Having boots fitted for the first time I didn’t know what to expect or how the boots should feel. I felt as though we didn’t have the appropriate amount of time spent on us to explain this. I had to buy another pair of boots in Japan costing another £500!!!

I couldn’t recommend SIA Austria more. I trained in Kaprun for 4 weeks in Nov 2025 and came out fully qualified, having already been given a job as a ski instructor in Niseko, Japan.

The course is super well structured, with instructors who go above and beyond—you’re trained to a level that is much higher than the average level 1. The accommodation couldn't have been better, the social events were a lot of fun, and I met people I’ll stay connected with for life. Those who I did both the course and season with agree that while the season was such good fun, the month in Austria doing the training with SIA was our highlight.

Yes the price tag is pretty big but it is well worth it. An unreal experience from start to finish.
