The Anwärter is your entry into the Austrian ski instructor qualification system – and the certification you need to start teaching in Austrian ski schools.
Our Level 1 & 2 Anwärter Ski Instructor Courses in Austria are designed to give you the confidence and the practical skills and experience needed to be a Ski Instructor. You will perform at your best with more knowledge and understanding of the snowsports industry than your peers.
How Does the Course Work?
This is an intense, but fun training course spread over four, five, or six weeks which will introduce you to the Austrian teaching progression. The Anwärter ski instructor courses in Austria, will break down and re-build your skiing to include new skills, technical knowledge and a full understanding of how to pass on your knowledge to others during ski school lessons.
During your training you will be coached by our partners at Ski and Snowboard School Kaprun by Preghenella – some of the most experienced instructors in Austria. Your final Anwärter assessment is run by the Wiener Ski and Snowboard Association (WSSV).
Ski Instructor Academy offers some of the most comprehensive programmes on the market. You will benefit from 25 hours per week of on-snow practical training, plus HD video analysis, snowsports theory, avalanche awareness training, and a German language kick-off camp.
It’s not all work and no play though — when the weekend comes around you can explore the mountains, enjoy the resort nightlife, or try something completely different like skydiving or tobogganing.
You will leave with a qualification that is recognised and respected internationally and never expires. And most importantly, we offer a guaranteed paid ski instructor job in a top Austrian ski school once you complete your training – something that is unique to Ski Instructor Academy.
