Are you looking to learn something new or prepare yourself for the Eurotest, ISIA Speed Test & or the Austrian Level 3 Landes Skiehrer GS race?  Then our GS Race Camps are for you!

We will set clear and achievable GS courses for you to really learn and master the skills necessary to improve your racing. The only way to truly feel confident when standing in the start gate is to train GS consistently and alongside the correct training and trainers.

Ski Instructor Academy has the proven experience and trainers to ensure that you can take your performance slalom techniques to the next level, for personal enjoyment for instructor development based goals (Eurotest / Skilhrer / ISTD) or for a larger competitive FIS development.

This camp is designed for passionate skiers who are looking to take on the challenge of learning how to race, those already experienced or taking part in timed races & those qualified ski instructors training for their exams at level 3 & 4 where race is a key assessment criteria.

If these camps are of interest please check out the available takes and book online or  contact SIA Austria for more information to get your race training training started!

Kaprun is your ideal location to source your camp lodging with various options available on such sites as Airbnb and booking.com Being in Kaprun means that you have quick and easy access up the Maiskogel lift and onwards to the glacier each day but also allows you to enjoy evenings socials with others.

Alternatively Zell am See can be a viable option for accommodation with easy bus links to Kaprun and the lift system to the glacier. If staying in Zell just make sure that you take note of the bus timetable if you do not have access to a car.

SIA is based in Kaprun and we are lucky enough to have the incredible Kitsteinhorn glacier on our doorstep. Unless stated otherwise – or weather conditions force us to relocate – all camps take place on the glacier where we are blessed with fantastic terrain and reliable conditions due to the high altitude.

The coaches and examiners are second to none, offering the best advice and guidance (special shout outs to Jamie, Anne and Martin!) And to top it all off, I am now a Landes 1 Lehrer! If you are looking to be a ski instructor, choose SIA!

Abigail, UK

The Dual Course was awesome. I made some great friends, great memories and had the best winter ever. I earned a fantastic qualification which I used all season teaching skiing and snowboarding in Austria and I have used it to teach in California too! The ski schools really do value the teaching skills and training you receive from Ski Instructor Academy

Minus the time I fought and defeated the Amazonian gorilla king this is definitely the best thing I’ve ever done!”

Sam, The Amazon (previously UK)

I had the BEST time of my life becoming an instructor with SIA!! Didn’t know how to ski when I got there, had the strongest passion imaginable for skiing six weeks later!!
