Zermatt to Verbier 2024 Challenge
On Tuesday 9th April an intrepid team of six courageous individuals from the UK’s frontline healthcare sector will work together to overcome the risks of avalanches, the hazards of glacier crossings, freezing temperatures and altitude sickness as they tackle the famous 57.5 km ‘Patrouille des Glaciers’ mountain route atop the Swiss Alps.
The aim of the challenge is to raise awareness and money for the Intensive Care Society, a registered charity that provides wellbeing support, education and the co-ordination of critical care research to UK healthcare professionals working in critical care. The charity strives to ensure its community has all the tools and support it needs to deliver the highest quality of care to the sickest of patients in UK hospitals.
