Canada
Canada has some great ski resorts, no question. But when it came to picking the best of them, it was easy – big and beautiful! Whistler and Sun Peaks are the two biggest ski areas in Canada and offer everything you could possibly want or need for your winter!
Whistler
Whistler Blackcomb is generally regarded as the best ski resort in the world, and it has countless awards for its terrain, snow parks, après ski, activities, and restaurants.
Not only is it the best, but it’s the biggest, too! With over 8,000 acres of skiable terrain, it dwarfs would-be challengers into submission. It boasts hundreds of trails and even has five snow parks and a superpipe to boot. You could spend a full season in Whistler and still find new areas to ski every day. Perfect, then, for a ski season job in Canada?
Sun Peaks
The vast terrain offers something for everybody, making Sun Peaks such an amazing location. Sun-kissed Sundance Mountain offers an abundance of mellow (ish) groomed runs for intermediates.
Mt Tod features awesome advanced terrain in open bowls, challenging gladed terrain, and long groomers, while north-facing Mt Morrisey also has thigh-burning cruisers and a few steeps, making Sun Peaks the perfect resort for snowsports instructor training.
Banff
Banff is a unique, stunning location and is home to three renowned ski resorts, two of which are among Canada’s largest ski areas. The combination of having so many resorts and so much ski terrain close to Banff means you have the largest and most diverse ski area in Canada at your fingertips.
Big White
As Canada’s largest truly ski-in/ski-out resort, Big White has a sizeable reputation to live up to, which it takes to new levels.
Big White is a perfect example of a completely natural playground and is perfectly placed for your ski instructor training in Canada. Steeps, groomers, off-piste, glades, bumps, rollers, various groomed and power bowls, Big White has it all and more.
