Kitzbühel and Skiing – the connection is timeless and indeed, legendary. Renowned for it’s proud skiing heritage, Kitzbühel is home to the the relentless Hahnenkamm “Streif”, the FIS Ski World Cup’s most notorious downhill race. Thousands of ski lovers decend on the city every year including the big names in snowsports and Hollywood too, with the likes of Daniel Craig (aka Bond, James Bond), Gwyneth Paltrow, Jason Statham and Arnold “i’ll be back” Schwarzenegger all roaming the slopes.

With perfectly groomed coduroy stretching a whopping 179km, candy-coloured medieval buildings lining the streets, scenery which rivals the best in the world and a truly cosmopolitan feel with its selection of shops, bars, restaurants and even a cinema, make Kitzbühel a great choice destination to spend your winter.

If you are lucky enough (and quick enough) to get a place, you can combine a selection of our pre-season courses with our unique Job Guarantee in Kitzbühel and spend your season working as a Red Devil at the famous Rote Teufel Ski School and you might just get to teach some famous celebrities and maybe even meet your idol – You wouldn’t be the first!

SLOPES

The extensive Kitzbühel ski area extends over two provinces and 7 municipalities.

54 cable cars and lifts commute high above the world-famous ski resort on the summit to 2,000 meters above sea level. 179 km of best prepared slopes and 36 km of ski routes are on the piste map. 56 romantic huts invite you to stop for a bite or a pint!

The Kitzbüheler Horn is perfect for beginners with its wide, gentle and quiet runs. It’s a great place to warm your thighs at the start of the day and also has a beginner snowpark too. The masses will head to the more challenging Hahnenkamm where you will find plenty of intermediate and advanced groomed trails, snowpark and off piste sections. If you’re feeling really adventurous then make your way to the Streif and try your hand at the the worlds most famous downhill race section. NIGHTLIFE

Kitzbühel’s nightlife is also legendary, especially at weekends. Thousands of snow lovers descend during the Hahnenkamm weekend in January and it gets extremely boisterous.

Kitzbühel has a civilised social scene too, with such renowned tea rooms such as the Praxmair and Kortschak cafés. Less civilised is the Prax Keller bar down a steep flight of steps next door to Praxmair’s, which opens till late (deadly after a few Jägerbombs). The Londoner is a fun, loud and lively bar, where the Hahnenkamm racers gather, and well worth a visit. The Stamperl, opposite, is just as lively.

There are also three discos in the square which will see you busting your moves till dawn.
