The Resort
Ski Instructor Academy is based in the beautifully picturesque region of Austria, which makes up part of the Europa Sport Region, providing a great range of skiing to suit all levels with over 138km of piste to satisfy your every need. The area is also home to the famous Kitzsteinhorn Glacier reaching over 3,000m into the sky offering snow surety for all of our courses and clinics.
Zell is now linked to Saalbach-Hinterglemm Ski Circus Area making it the largest ski area in Austria giving access to over 400km of trails, enough to satisfy the adventurer in us all!
Kaprun-Zell am See has three awesome mountains, including the magnificent Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, making it the perfect location for any instructor training. Snow is guaranteed as early as October until as late as July!
The season is so long here that you can enjoy Lake Zell as a frozen winter wonderland, or a giant natural swimming pool, all while the glacier being open for snowsports
MOUNTAIN STATS
The vast skiing area is perfectly suited for pro’s and beginners alike, 3 mountains, 3 snow parks, the longest super pipe in Austria at 160m AND the longest fun slope in the world means there is something for everyone here, and when you’re done you can chill out in the Ice Bar or even spend a night in an Ice Igloo at the Audi Quattro Ice Camp. Night skiing is a must when in Zell and gives a breathtaking view of Lake Zell and the village three nights a week.
Terrain Breakdown

When you’re done shredding, you can chill out in the Ice Bar or even spend a night in an Ice Igloo at the Audi Quattro Ice Camp. Night skiing is a must when in Zell, and gives a breathtaking view of Lake Zell and the village three nights a week.
SLOPES
The area is made up of three diverse mountains, the Maiskogel, the Schmittenhöhe and the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier and provides an eyewatering 3,400 acres of skiable terrain.
The Maiskogel is known as the family mountain of the area and has won awards for its great slopes and snack huts, perfect for beginners and intermediates or if you want to avoid the queues during the peak periods.
The 2,000m high Schmittenhöhe is the local mountain of Zell am See and is regarded as the mountain with the most beautiful view in Austria, and with 77km of runs, offers a lot more than just a postcard backdrop! Suited more towards the intermediate and advanced skier, its tree-lined pistes will soon become your favourite place to ride. The Schmittenhöhe also offers night skiing 3 days per week – a must!
The jewel in the crown for the region is the magnificent Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, sitting at over 3000m and providing a snow-sure ski haven for 10 months of the year! The glacier offers the complete package and is perfect for our training courses. Groomed pistes, mogul lines, GS runs, off-piste terrain, snow park and Austria’s biggest super pipe make up a truly world class mountain!
ACTIVITIES
Kaprun is our home and offers so much more than an amazing ski area, there are heaps’s of awesome off-hill activities that will round off an unforgettable experience with us and will be remembered forever as the best days of your life!

Ever fancied jumping out of a plane at 12,000ft above the alps? then our sky diving weekends will be right up your street! Challenge your new friends to a spot of snow mobile racing or to an Audi Drifting Experience if you are a bit of a petrol lover.
NIGHTLIFE
Ski Instructor Academy’s legendary socials are at their peak in Kaprun and will make sure you have the most amazing time off the slopes with themed fancy dress parties, après events, movie nights and the WOW Glacier Love Music Festival boasting a top line up from the world of dance with the likes of Benny Benassi, Netsky, Rudimental and Sub Focus descending on our beautiful village.

ACCOMMODATION
Fantastic accommodation is included as standard in your course fees, with a selection of beautiful apartments, penthouses and pensions reserved to make your time with us as comfortable as possible after a hard day skiing.
Shared, self catered accommodation is standard with a selection of different sized apartments on offer ensures we can accommodate individuals, couples and groups with luxury mountain living.
Single rooms and meals options are available with all of our courses in Kaprun-Zell am See.
